We're James and Gretchen Hume, and we're passionate about helping local service businesses win in their own backyard. We've been married for 26 years, and between four children and one dog we know exactly what a full calendar and a busy household feel like. We've watched countless great businesses fail, not because of their service, but because customers couldn't find them. So we created AI-powered systems that put local service businesses on the map.
HumeStone is proudly run from Westfield, Indiana, and we work with local service businesses wherever they are. Our mission is simple: help local service businesses get the customers they deserve.

James's career runs through ministry, nonprofit work in the medical field, and executive leadership, with one constant thread: he has always been drawn to helping people. At HumeStone he builds and runs the AI systems that keep a local calendar full, from reviews and reactivation to advertising and follow-up.
Gretchen Hume
Co-Founder
Gretchen has spent years serving people through social services, nonprofits, and church ministry, and she brings that same heart for people to every business HumeStone serves. She is an avid reader who treasures time with her family.
